Korwar Figure Schouten Islands, West Papua 19th to early 20th century Provenance: Old colonial collection from the Netherlands Its a very rare style. Sometimes the body was wrapped in red cloth. According to Van Baaren its from the Schouten Islands in West Papua. Height is 8.25 inches. Dates to the 19th-early 20th century. Carved from very hard wood.
